This was in today's Kansas City Star - under the"Good Things to Eat" category it says: Raccoon Meat, with a phone number. Yum.!
Laura and Aaron went with me to PHill's annual wild game dinner. We actually ate rabbit pot pie, goose chili, racoon barbeque (this is the Kansas City area, after all!) deep fried pheasant, fried duck, venison pasta, venison brats and more. Some was good, some were better classified as "interesting". Beer might have helped. Plus salads, desserts and a vendor fair where you could try your luck at target shooting, buy a raccoon or other pelt and buy stuff. Oh yes, except for us, everyone was wearing plaid, camo or both! Talk about cultural exchange!
